No matter the shift, whether it be 3, 8, maybe even 12, as long as you come in and work for that day you get 1 free meal. If you cover a shift and work for a while, they sometimes tend to offer you 2 meals.

Not a horrible compensation.

I definitely didn't know that they did that. Not a bad deal, really. I just buy Dollar Menu now, but I would choose the costly stuff if McD's was paying for it.

Dollar Menu's prices have gone up for some stuff.

After the first few months, I got SO TIRED of seafood, even though it was really good. It's been like..umm...6 or 7 years since I worked there, and I'm still not a seafood fan because of it. I got so tired of the smell.

And yes, you can get oodles of food at McDonald's for the price of one meal at BK.
Ah, I feel so bad for you, seafood is something I'd dread getting sick of!
I usually tend to have cravings of Chinese food and Seafood. Especially crab rangoons if you know what those are, honestly one of my favorite foods.
And the smell of a place after working there for so long, I feel the pain..

That's what's really disappointing as well, I find McDonald's food to be higher quality than Burger King. It's sad because fast food places tend to jab people on prices. About a month ago I was speaking to one of my General Managers and a fellow coworker, if I recall correctly, it costs the store about 10 cents to make a cheeseburger. Mind you, we charge around a dollar for it.
And I understand stores must make profit, but I feel like they push it on things, say for instance the Big Mac, it's around $3.00 but probably costs about a $1.00 to make.

Sorry I went on such a speil, it was not in my intentions whatsoever, lol.

Seafood is something I can't do unless it's well prepared at a fine restaurant such as Red Lobster or of the likes.

I used to enjoy eating fish and stuff, but now I really don't eat it at all. I do eat shrimp sometimes, but it has to be the good kind, and it has to be prepared by someone who knows what they're doing. I do like Red Lobster, Fallen, but shrimp is the only thing that I'll eat there. I really like to guzzle down their marvelously delicious and incredibly expensive cocktails.

VPN - That is crazy how much they mark stuff up. I guess they have to do what they have to do to make a profit. I can't really complain about getting a cheeseburger for a buck.

I really don't have a preference there. I enjoy McDonalds and Burger King. In-fact, I had a whopper today.

Absolutely, I never leave unsatisfied or unfilled.
Not sure if you've ever heard of Oasis, just kind of a place for the late night drunkards. Places like that I could never eat seafood because I know they'd kill it for me.

It all ads up. I love their cocktails, but I can't be a bitch when I'm at Red Lobster.

It is pretty insane, then again, we do get discounts off everything such as buns and other food products because we buy it in such abundance, so I'm sure that's why it's so cheap for us.

As for shrimp though, geeze, I've gone to so many all you can eat buffets of just shrimp, I'm sure I just have a "slight" obsession. Smile
