RE: United States of America = The Roman Empire? - w00t - 01-16-2013 You do realize that statistic proves my point? That number is the amount of USD each citizen would have to pay to relieve the nation of it's debt. Americans spend more money because they're used to it and the cost of living is higher. There's a reason why US debt is rising. RE: United States of America = The Roman Empire? - DrBlowFish - 01-18-2013 Haha, no, we are not the Roman Empire. We are the WORST government in Humanity's history. We suck... I hate the United States, I was born here, and have never left it. I wish I was in Canada or something. RE: United States of America = The Roman Empire? - w00t - 01-18-2013 I can always tell the people who just hate the US because everyone else does when they say Canada is an improvement. Canada is basically just US North, except more moderate. As for the debt, standards of living aren't different in the US and France, though that has nothing to do with the statistic you highlighted. In both countries, citizens expect running water, decent sized living space, sanitary streets, roadways, and protection. You should appreciate that you grew up in a country where you are free and can make your own damn choices. But maybe if you grew up in China, you may realize that we are a lot like the Roman Empire. Although now that I think my words over, you would probably be in a sweat shop. Canada is rarely known to be involved in major politics and has a free government. It's a quiet place with little drama. That being said, there are a few places like that, although there are always exceptions. They just don't make the news to often, and no one really cares what Canada is doing. They are probably planning on taking out the whole world with massive nuclear bombs, and they are just keeping on the down low for now.... I see what you are doing there Canadians I see.... However, they are almost never on the news, and they try not to get involved in international affairs. |
