Yes, but you obviously don't like that.

Here's why I brought that up. You don't support Taxes (Robbing us blind)
So why do you support them killing people?

I don't believe in the death penalty. I do, however, think certain people need to stay in prison for the rest of their lives and rot in prison.

This is how I feel. Even though it is more expensive I would say that it is the more judicial thing to do.

Also, the death penalty was used hundreds of years ago. It's time the human race evolve. I believe that if humans do "inhumane" actions, they should rot in a prison cell.

I know it is more expensive, but what the hell are my taxes going to any way.

I would rather have my parents tax money and eventually my own go into a politician's pocket so he can enjoy himself than waste it on some criminal.

That being said, this is a completely subjective topic and it's going to be a difficult one to argue about because morals themselves are subjective so everybody is going to have slightly different views. In my opinion, the only real 'defense' against the death penalty is if the money spent keeping these men and women alive is worth not accidentally killing an innocent who has been wrongly convicted.

Lastly, I believe that a better term for rights is privileges. You forfeit the privilege of life by taking another's so I don't see a problem with the execution of a guilty man.

They're taking away his right to live because he did it to himself. It was whoever the person's idea to do whatever he did. The person knows the consequences.

It costs way too much to keep everyone in prison for the rest of their lives.
We ought to lower the amount of people we have in prisons.
They're nearly overflowing.

Yes, it is justified.
It has been justified.

Another thing we could do is experiment with our criminals.
Send 'em into space, etc.
We should really do that.
For science.

I don't agree with it.
To me, life in prison is a much better punishment for someone who has taken a life, obviously without parole. If you have taken a life you shouldn't get the easy way out, you should have to live with the consequences for the rest of your life.
Also, if you kill someone, get falsely convicted, and get the death sentence, then you have no chance of getting your case overturned (i'm not sure that's the right term, but just go with it). While they always make sure the evidence is more than enough to be sure that you did it there is always a chance that someone has been setup.

It's like they're getting the easy way out.

What you don't believe is irrelevant to its justification.

In some cases, I think so. It depends. I don't think it should be for a lot of crimes -- just cold-blooded, horrible, sociopathic-style crimes.

I mean, it's sort of like a dog that has rabies. You can lock it up and keep it in a cage, spend all of your money feeding it, keep it miserable and risk your safety and the safety of others around. It's sick and will never get better and can never be trusted in civilization. Why not just put it down and move on? Sure, somebody might love it or might have loved it at some point, but it's still not worth it. That's just my two cents.
