Security reasons. There are more vulnerabilities to Win 7 that are known then there are known about Win 8.

Keeping your OS updated is important, especially when you used a closed-source OS. Not only does each update streamline performance, it also patches security holes.

I just don't like it,
It looks like it was designed for tablets and the kinect. It doesn't seem like a real OS to me.

Yeah, bad move on Microsoft's part. As I mentioned, there is Start8 (which I currently use).
