Also, this isn't world-fucking-news. Stick to the lounge where you belong.

Its news, and is part of the world, unless you're counting Texas as its own planet.
And its an issue not exclusive to just Texas either.

Under your logic, your thread about the UK in particular having the Aurora Borealis isn't world news, therefore belongs in the lounge.

You're right.

Considering this most likely hasn't made any news, nor does the world want to hear about it, I wouldn't consider it world news.

/opinions.

Why is this so bad? If their bodies are mature enough, I don't see a problem with them doing so. I don't encourage it, but I don't see a problem with it, as they should be well educated on how to do it safely.

Bodies being mature =/= mentally and emotionally mature.

Not to mention, things like that spread around because the guy the girl sends it to is more than likely going to show all his buddies, or a next girlfriend is going to spread it around and call her a whore for doing it, and etc.

Then you can end up with the images being posted on the internet, getting into the hand of pedophiles, etc.

Most scientists agree that once your body has physically achieved the ability to reproduce, your brain has also ceased its physical development. The only reason they aren't as "smart" as adults is that they haven't been taught as much.

Why are the latter two points viewed as problematic for adults? It would be MORE damaging to many professionals if any of their sexual partners were to distribute pictures.

I was under the impression that the brain goes through much more development even after someone can reproduce, particularly in the decision-making department. This goes on far into the teens and goes into the twenties.

There isn't any physical barrier preventing them from having better decision making, though. That's why there is such variance in mental maturity among adolescents.

Under that logic, which unless you can provide sources stating that "most scientists agree" that an (on average) 12 year old has the physiologically similar brain to a 30 year old, you are saying that based on physical brain development, someone is then psychologically mature.

Puberty, which usually starts at 12 years into a child's life, may bring about their sexuality, but does not bring the sexual responsibility, emotional stability, and psychological maturity that would be required to completely and fully understand the possible and likely repercussions that early age sexual activity can, and usually does bring.

Under your logic, as soon as a child reaches menarche, they are then responsible and mature enough to bear child and raise it. That is sexual responsibility, which one would need to have to be mature enough for this.

Also, the only time I mentioned or referenced adults in my post was the last sentence, which dealt with pedophilia on the internet.

My second statement was talking about young males sharing the picture(s) they receive from young females with other young males, as it is commonplace to brag amongst friends, and they then share it themselves with others, sometimes resulting in your entire school having seen your nude pictures, administrative action being taken against you, and in some instances, young males being arrested for sharing the images. Same with the latter point of that sentence, which I personally know about, as it happened to a friend of mine, at an even later age.

Physically mature =/= Psychologically mature, which is the original point I raised.
