It's a very old and common method. People were using multiple accounts on sandboxie so it didn't use any resources and using them to idle TF2 and selling the items. I knew someone who had over 9000 (hurr) accounts, all idling TF2 items and he made a few thousand dollars a week selling items, but valve patched idling methods such as this one by changing the requirements needed for items to drop, rendering this method old and useless.
