What most people don't get is; when you learn how to use photoshop, your imagination is the limit to your end product. Crow taught me that one.
The fact that you just started, seems pretty well. The side of the lion was taken out with some blending in of the photo.
Either way, if it's not a gif, don't save it as a gif. Unless you're EFG.

Fucking PS saves it as gif by default. I'll remember what you said next time.

Because it looks like you took the original picture, removed some bits of it, changed colour balance, threw on some text, and called it done, I'd honestly give it a 5/10.

That is basically what I did. Read the title of the thread. It's not always about how easy something is though, it's about the end product.

This. It looks too awkwardly cut. You should try and make it flow a little better. Mess around while doing so and you may learn a few things too.

It looks half-decent, I suggest fading the lion image to white so that it doesn't have the horrible chunky line.

I tried to make the edge look like it was ripped. I guess I failed at that too.
