You guys aren't reading these stuff deeply enough.

Because he was some kind of genius scientist and so he went to the police, and they posted 24/7 surveillance on the family, but when they went to the French Alps to have a vacation, the surveillance did not go with them.
The family were shot all in the head, except for one daughter who hid inside her Mother's skirts. A cyclist was shot dead after he passed by and witnessed the shooting. He was shot in the head by the hired killer.
That is the story.
