RE: Project: PPE - cxS - 01-27-2014 What is the real issue here? You first asked for a program that does all of this, and at the same time you're asking about how to do it I assume? What are you struggling with? You haven't even mentioned that much. Visual Studio being "limited" in your words is just an indication of how much you don't know about the IDE. It does everything listed above and multiples more. I don't see the issue with the RichTextEditor control and saving python files though... The richtext portion shouldn't be an issue unless you don't know how to save the plaintext data within the control. Perhaps some code that you could give us to look at before we all start guessing? It saves as a Python file, but when launching the Python file it has font styling which causes it to crash. And the issue is that I can't find a very efficient and easy way of doing it. If I had all the time in the world I would do it but I, sadly, don't. I have since closed the project until summer when I do have time. RE: Project: PPE - cxS - 01-27-2014 Define "it", because you have a list of things in the first post. For somebody to help you, you've got to provide better descriptions for analysis. You still haven't provided any code though which is relevant to where you're having issues. I can't tell you what you're doing wrong without seeing what you're doing wrong, it's a simple concept. RE: Project: PPE - Scythe - 04-14-2014 Have you tried Notepad++? It has everything you need and even more. And stahp gravediggging, please. RE: Project: PPE - Scythe - 04-14-2014 (04-14-2014, 12:14 PM)Duubz Wrote: stahp gravediggging, please. Well, on all of the forums that I've been one, posting on threads that are on the first page of the forum isn't considered a 'gravedigging'. My apologies. EDIT: Just noticed that this thread belongs to January. I will be more careful next time. This wasn't on the first page, friend. It's fine, not like there's anything really wrong with it, it's just frowned upon. As far as syntax hightlighting goes, I know you can do that.I tried to get into visual studio (C# and vb.net one time). Why don't you try a regular text box? RE: Project: PPE - xornull - 04-14-2014 Visual Studio is one of the best IDE's for Windows, it does not lack anything, it simply has too much ![]() Numbered lines Python tools for Visual Studio happy coding! |
