Have you've ever considered picking up Assembly?

After picking up C and Assembly, you can learn most languages extremely well in a month or two.

Would you consider picking up ASM FIRST before any other language, so you already have a good foundation of how everything works, or do you believe it's better to learn a high level language first, to get a feel then delve a bit lower?

If you can do it, asm first. As all languages eventually get converted to asm, it helps you understand harder things, like pointers and virtual methods.

I decided to learn ASM first, and it's proving to be a challenge, but I'll know it'll be worth it in the long run for myself.

I learned HTML/CSS fluently in under a month.

I somehow doubt that.
Kudos if you did though

It's not a hard language at all, took me a week to learn the basics and got good at it quickly.
