VPNs are encrypted, proxies are not, therefore a simple wiretap on you when your proxying would reveal everything, as opposed to a subpoena to the VPN hoster for logs related to you. Now, I don't know about you, but I think it's probably a lot harder to get a shady African VPN host to cough up logs they may or may not have versus simply tapping your connection.

  1. When you buy proxy with PP ( I remember that you say that BTC is useless), VPN owner have information about you even this is enough to proofe that VPNs aren't better than proxies. Because when feds go there and he don't provide this information he will get in trouble if you know little about laws there is something called obstructing investigation and there are a lot of laws about it.
  2. There is something called SSL proxy but I'm sure that you haven't hear for this too.
  3. 99% of VPNs keep logs because if something happen on their server they are responsible for this.

BTC isn't useless, you just have to configure it well, which isn't trivial.

TLS proxies aren't all that common, you mostly see socks4, socks5, and http.

Proxies keep logs as well.

Yeah but if you get them from proxy trojan they don't, I have tell you that you have very big hole in your anonymity knowledge. You should read some more.

When you get proxies from your proxy trojan they don't keep logs but there is still chance to get you if you don't remove them from your botnet or you don't chain some proxies.
