If you're going to buy Skyrim, always go with the PC version. The amount of extra content you get through mods is worth it.

And if you mod, I would go with Skyrim Nexus instead of Steam if you use it.

True, but the Steam Workshop has some really good mods that Nexus doesn't. If you buy the Steam version, you can get mods from Nexus, and the workshop.
