I guess it depends really as to who it affects. If you have no friends or family and have no one who cares about you, it can't be considered selfish. Sadly, in almost all cases, we see a family and network of friends left hurt and distraught. I think it's a very selfish act since you're going to be hurting all of these people, probably.

I guess if you're selfish enough to kill yourself, you don't care enough about these people in the first place for them to care whether you killed yourself.

Yes, suicide is selfish. Think about it, you hate life, you want to quit life, there's nothing that can stop you and all you want to do is suicide. If you commit suicide, you're leaving behind loved ones. Once they know you've committed suicide, they'll all be heart broken, but deep down inside, they know that you were selfish and you know your self that you were as well.
