It's a bit uncomfortable for the horses.

At least the horse didn't escape the plane itself. That's a long way down.

Hope there is someone to help the horses calm their nerves. Gotta be nerve wrecking

I wonder how they do with all the noise...but then again I assume they use some sort of tranquilizer

Title isn't as good as "Snakes on a Plane" but you get the point.

Code:
A Boeing 747 cargo jet has been forced to turn around, after a horse escaped from its stall and caused chaos as the plane cruised at 30,000ft (9,144m).

The plane was headed to Belgium from New York but did a U-turn roughly 90 minutes after its departure when the animal got loose.

Air traffic control audio recorded the pilot saying: "We have a live animal, a horse, on board the airplane. The horse managed to escape."
"We cannot get the horse back secured."
Source

Man phones wife: Sorry honey, I'm going to be late coming home, the plane had to turn back around.
Wife: Why?
Man: Have you heard the horse escaping? It’s a terrible tale of WHOA!

Spoiler:
That joke hurt me more writing it than it hurt you reading it.
Wow

i wonder what's so special about these horses that they literally had to be flown around half the world. Don't they have horses their? lol

This seems like cool and weird at the same time, like the idea of horses inside of a plane flying just seems weird.

Likely to do with breeding or competitions. You would move rare animals globally between zoos/sanctuaries but you also may move things like classic cars for car shows. I imagine horses often fall somewhere in-between those two concepts. Or it could be sales, or healthcare. I suppose the same happens with dogs too!

I think there's also been a case of an escaped bear, though I'd have to google to track down the article on it.

That's actually insane, why would they be transporting a bear lmaoo. I believe it but it's very surprising.

Honestly I can't recall xD I'm not sure if the article went into detail. I wonder what other odd animals have been transported by air & how. Zoos have to transport animals all the time internationally so it must be somewhat common.
