Conservative estimates for Bamital's raw take are at 2m. It was, in sum, a 8m bot network. Basic maths tells me that he would therefore need a 2m bot network to get those profits.
Or, if you prefer more well-known botnets, take Zeus. ~100m taken vs ~13m infected. You can do the math.
