I would argue that nobody uses the microwave for it's superior taste/texture when heating food. It's always a time/convenience thing. There's a couple things that are useful to heat in the microwave because foods often retain moisture better in there than in an oven, but it's rare I need that
First thing I think of is Uncle Ben's rice! Though, that's not reheating. Reheating pizza tends to be ok. It doesn't try it out like an oven might.

As others have said, fish is terrible in the microwave. I think it tastes better cold, straight out of the fridge.

Microwave does removed all the nutrition on your food. So please don't do that.

I usually slice up my leftover steak, give it a quick marinade and use it to make something else where the other ingredients can compensate.
