My assumption is that ole Elon really does not care whether this platform survives or not. He did try to duck out of the deal at the last minute. I expect "X" will dissolve over the next 5 years.

The more you read about this, the more it sounds like a billionaire's acid trip:
- Changing the site name to 1 letter
- Cryptocurrency
- Data monetization
- Dating App
- Linkedin functionality
Maybe Elon can't decide what he wants, but there's something to be said for doing too many things at once... Reminds me of when "Meta" was first being discussed.
