The RPG elements are fun, but I can see people hating the turn-based combat and puzzles. Being DND-based, there's great stories and lore. There's a lot of people playing who don't normally play DND style games. Some fights require more strategy (like Moonrise Tower). A lot of recent games only provide about 20-30 hrs of playtime, BG3 gives a lot more. Most of the difficulty can be lessened by settings or doing sidequests.
