They are not paying there bills. They voted to keep spending more and the democrats will raise the debt ceiling which republicans will fight. Were paying our bills with debt. That's like getting a credit card to pay your credit card bill. But eventually the countries(china,Japan, saudi) will stop loaning us money. The government will then default on there loans which will make the federal reserve print more money to cover there own bonds. this will cause money to become worthless. This happened to Zimbabwe and they ended up having trillion dollar bills which were equal to ten dollars. Now you can buy them as a novelty item. And i wanna say hi to w00t who will be posting below me.

Nothing's perfect, but if enough people voice their opinions and make a large enough impact then change is always possible, so I'm blaming the people here. Republicans didn't shut down the government. They made an attempt to eliminate the abomination known as Obamacare. All the senate had to do was delay it for one year, and everything would had been settled much quicker.

So yes, as I said we're paying our bills, and you obviously don't understand America debt. Do a little more research.

Democracy is broken when laws voted in by a majority of the representatives vote in assent are still disputed. It's also worth noting that your right-wing party leader amended the Affordable Health Care Act.
