Making (for example) a measly 4.00$ for 1,000 downloads Is not worth the time and effort. I earn that amount at work In literally 9 minutes.
Generating 1000 downloads is really easy for some people.

I make 120$ in a week and I think it is a pretty decent amount considering I'm a student.

Like, if you spend one week at making a painting, it would take roughly 30 hours. An entire working week.
Its basically the same amount of time i spend on playing world of warcraft each week.
Do i get paid for that shit? No, I pay for playing wow, its called free time.
Now we are talking about making $1200 in one hour. Multiply that with the same amount of hours you spend on standing in the shower
or doing your favorite activity and you will get a pretty steady amount of pocket cash.
Compare that to being a spotify musician and squeezing out like $10-$20 per 100.000 plays.

From a student standpoint, that's a pretty good Income that'll certainly help pay expenses and the like.
