Try and make sense of that.

i am also happy to see that indian doctor , hospital department able to cure corona people on time infected ratio is high but they all are cured ... very less death .. where USA people getting die and die as i know USA is far more hygiene and smart in technology than why USA getting worse now these days...USA days are bad now days from corona to cyber attack...
I don't think the USA is worse. The number of people infected compared to how many die isn't high compared to other nations. For example, the CONFIRMED cases (not including the predictions of people who are infected and haven't been tested) are at just shy of 20 million. That makes a mortality rate of about 1.7% of all who are infected (realistically it is much lower than that as we are not including any cases that haven't been reported). Meanwhile, if you compare the mortality rate for Brazil's confirmed and reported, positive cases, their mortality rate is at over 2.5%. France's rate would be 2.48%, and the UK would be 3%.
Long story short: I'm saying that the USA isn't doing as badly as the media makes out, and it entirely depends on how you INTERPRET statistics. The statistics above suggest the UK is doing almost literally twice as bad as the US, in mortality rates. However, these statistics are affected by how many people are tested and when. We could argue that too many people are getting infected in the USA, but there isn't evidence to support that more people are dying in the USA, compared to other nations.

Literally the exact data I was working from. That's not a high mortality rate compared to the European nations. In fact, India has a much better mortality rate. The problem in the US is the proportionate number of infections. So, if you look at the total cases per million people in the population column, you can see that is much higher than other nations. Whereas India's infections per 1m pop is actually doing ok at the moment. I suspect this may chance with the new, more infectious strains coming out.

That's actually hilarious. However, I'm not especially offended by it. If they gave the new strain another name, that would confuse things. My continental European family have had big mouths and opinions about the British for years, this will be no different xD

Omg no way! Tiktok videos?!
I totally agree. People in the US (and some in other countries too) really haven't taken it seriously. But the police won't beat people up in America (not usually anyway). Oni and I were talking about this. If there had been an instant lockdown and harsher punishment, maybe we would see less cases there.

My great uncle died last week from it, so I genuinely believe a few baton paddles is nothing. It's one thing to endanger yourself, but it's the collective "laissez faire" mentality that's the reason we're still here almost a year later.
