It's draw used to be user-friendliness but now it's just as bad as android/linux Meh, i think win10 is decent tbf. Windows vista was the shocker RE: Microsoft's Windows Turned 35 - RNixon5000 - 03-30-2021 Yea Vista was terrible, as was ME. I do miss Windows 7 and 95 at times RE: Microsoft's Windows Turned 35 - mothered - 03-30-2021 (03-30-2021, 07:20 PM)RNixon5000 Wrote: Yea Vista was terrible, as was ME.I certainly agree with Windows ME. It was the worst OS I've experienced- very unstable. Windows 1.0 was before my time, but I've literally never heard of ME. When was that about? Was it used for something in particular? Or was it just another vista incident? I've still never quite gotten over the win7- to win8 move. What a shocker that was. Then again, I'm still no fan of the aesthetics of that time as well. Win10 has definitely pulled something back though. It's perfectly reasonable for windows software, no matter how much my colleagues ridicule me for not using Linux xD RE: Microsoft's Windows Turned 35 - Kaimano - 03-30-2021 ME was just before XP if memory serves correctly. It was completely unstable and bug-ridden. And they removed DOS. RE: Microsoft's Windows Turned 35 - Drako - 03-31-2021 I know I'm a little late, but I'm not sure whether to be happy for Microsoft or not. Windows has been the most used OS for decades now, which is definitely an accomplishment, but the OS itself is far from a masterpiece. RE: Microsoft's Windows Turned 35 - enthusiast92 - 03-31-2021 Micro$oft Windows become crap after 8.1 RE: Microsoft's Windows Turned 35 - mothered - 03-31-2021 (11-24-2020, 10:30 AM)Oni Wrote:I missed this alert. My laptops running SSDs and quad core CPUs, literally take under 10 seconds to (cold) boot Into the Windows environment. All services, processes and background tasks fully loaded. Lilewise Not a masterful peice but the idea still remains to be the foundation of what most of us were brought up to use.To me windows 98 was perfect.I remember how easy it was to gut out the os to bear essentials back then.Ha I almost feel like booting up 98 just to look at the old freind.
