Seems legit.
As for who threw the first punch, that line is used for both sides, and with both sides producing credible evidence that the other side struck first, self defense as an argument is pointless. Not to mention that self defense doesn't justify targeting civilian centers.
You kind of loose the right to try to prove your knowledgeably on a subject when you contradict the fact you gave.

True, palestine is not hamas, but hamas is using the people of palestine as a meat-shield.
This fight is almost impossible to win for both sides, hamas does not have the firepower to take down israel, and israel can't just kill the palestinians (is that correct?) to get the hamas members.

You can't stop a 100+ year war with a simple ceasefire. I'll be amazed if it lasts a week (or if people haven't already been killed).
