And It's that of the ISP, not on a personal level.

Sometimes the geolocation will even show a different city/state. Main reason I don't find this story plausible. Unless the abductors work at an ISP.

Again, seeing that it just redirects to your usual scam ads for free giveaways, I am almost certain that the stories are just a scare tactic because so many naive teenagers are receiving these messages.

I'd be curious what the real story is, though it could just be a scare tactic (as you say). There's no way to locate someone precisely with just the information transmitted via a browser, so it's likely misinformation.

Unfortunately, this shit still happens, and a lot of innocent and pretty girls are kidnapped for sex traffic. Especially, I heard that this a huge problem in Eastern Europe.
