On the principle of giveaways, my Avast Antivirus popped up with a message of: "Open your free gift". It was a 40% discount on one of their packages. Evidently, they're not aware that a "gift" Is a present- received without any form of payment. It makes you wonder how these entities continue to operate. Always check the privacy policies.Unfortunately, many services also collect and distribute data behind the scenes. This is equally true! However, since it's been going on for years, and companies are doing it frequently all over the world.. it's become a "norm". There are too many protections for companies for them to be told off over some poor phrasing. Shame. RE: Guys are giveaway sites TRUE or SCAM? - xxxx1809 - 07-18-2020 It's a 100% scam for sure! I'm happy you've done enough research first to notice this isn't a legit website before investing your money into it, Good luck in the future you're a smart man now o7 RE: Guys are giveaway sites TRUE or SCAM? - Johny_Bonny - 01-27-2021 This is a scam. I assure you that you will fill out their survey, write them your personal data, and win nothing. You'll only be wasting your time. They will then use your personal data for their own purposes. Most often, no one wins in such surveys, so you should not put much hope that you will win an iPhone or a MacBook. I only participate in verified surveys such as tellhappystar. For participating in their survey, I received small fries. This is a small reward but very pleasant and I don't have to worry about my personal data. |
