just use a temp phone number, thats what i did, instagram doesn't need your phone number only to increase their data collection on people, you probably will very unlikely will have to use it for instagram nor at all

And what is the problem with the phone number? Are you paranoid that they'll collect your personal data? BTW, I forgot my password from my business account ones. I have a bakery in Austin and use an Instagram page for the promotion. I even hired a professional food photographer to make great pictures that I can post. So it was a lot of work and a lot of money because Instagram is a highly competitive platform. I even had to buy some followers using the https://famoid.com/buy-instagram-followers/ service. So I was glad that I've used my phone number to log in. It helped to restore my password in seconds.

you should be able to spoof your phone number somehow,
and then just authenticate your phone using mail or smth.
