Don't know. Some sources say he killed himself, while some say he fled to Austria. I don't know which is correct. I kind of believe the fled to Austria one, because it was proven that Hitler had doubles.

My history teacher didn't actually say anything along the lines how Hitler died, maybe because it's not yet confirmed?

Hitler takes cyanide and shoots himself at the same time.
Nazi soldiers burn his body and bury it so Russians could not glorify the death of Hitler.
Goebbels follows the Fuhrer's lead.
