That Is, they're well and truly an established platform of communication used by 250+ million users, and they basically couldn't care less If their policies result In losing a few thousand accounts here and there.

Discord has been up to a lot of shady shit. I'm slowly gravitating towards Riot. It works a bit like Discord. There are servers and chat, and a few others I'm probably missing. The main difference is Riot is open-source, and the Riot developers implement great security features.

Around the time we made the choice to use Discord again, I was wanting to use basically anything else. The drawback is that's not the case for everyone else.
