Back In 2002 when my laptop did not power up Immediately after delivery, their reps had very little clue on how to solve such a simplistic Issue. The equation was pretty simple- a refund or replacement.
Yes, I've experienced the same quite a few years go.
I haven't dealt with Dell lately, and thought they'd Improve over a decade of poor customer service.
Evidently they haven't.

I've been using Acer for over a decade, and very happy with It.
Thus far, not one laptop has lost functionality.

I'd have said Alienware, prior to when they were acquired by Dell. Currently I'd go with Lenovo or Asus.
