Your Thoughts on Socialism - Adorapuff - 10-02-2013

I am anachro capitalist, so I don't agree with socialism. People are different, some are better an others are worse, those who are better deserve more than those who are worse. The CEO of apple shouldn't make the same as a worker putting together parts or a representative at a genius bar.

Is that why China practically owns America? And the rest of the world gets free education until you graduate college, and free healthcare? Sweden is half democracy, half Socialist; I shouldn't even have to explain to you how well off they are, same with Germany, and even "Communist" Russia. It's just as easy to start a business in those countries as it is in America. No, not everyone can take a shit in a $700 toilet, but we're still all human.

American Capitalism... Its like a virus in your kernel. And that virus is business. I'm a fan of Capitalism, but just like not all humans are equal, nothing alone will work perfectly. There's too much Capitalism in America and Socialism can balance that shit out.

1) Say you create a kickass mobile device ... Apple WILL sue you to hell for the smallest thing so you will never have a chance... you know that's true. The judicial system is all a game.

2) John McCain tried so hard to arm the 'rebels' in Syria because someone was going to profit from that, and the people pay for it. Yet, the US government shuts down a few months later over paying for healthcare. (Congress still gets paid).

3) Halliburton profiteering in the Iraq war (thanks to vice president Dick Cheney)

4) Ted Cruz and his "Kids For Cash"

5) Another easy example, the Army uses the M-4 rifle instead of the M-14, because some company gets to profit from it, even though it constantly jams and takes 4 rounds to kill a haji.

6) Lobbyists (like Jack Abramoff) - it has turned the government into a business. It's not who is "Right" for the job, it's about who has the most "money" for their campaign.

7) They're even talking about patenting DNA for crying out loud

Too much power = too much freedom = too much money = too much greed

It's like going full retard...

Well, I hate politics but there's my rant for the year. Peace!

Would you really want to live in China? I hope you're joking.

The idea of both Communism and Socialism is good but is hard to obtain because of human nature and to be honest there's to much abuse in a over history with that system if your really interested the topic i recommend the book Animal Farm i enjoyed it.

I wonder why they are talking about patenting DNA...
Oh wait, maybe companies pour millions and billions into research just like apple puts money into iPhones.

China owns America business-wise. Since they entered the World Trade Organization, America has been falling while China has been profiting (from America). Cyber too. While the whole world is wasting their time being pissed at the NSA, China is owning the world with some serious espionage, mostly from state funded/supported cyber attacks.

The M4 is preferred because it has a shorter barrel. In modern combat, which is to say urban combat, that extra 5 inches of gun makes a difference in how fast you move. The M4 also fires faster, again better for CQB. Not to mention that the M14 is still produced and used.

Big companies don't NEED to sue you, most small businesses never patent their ideas, so they can just steal and use them. It's not a flaw in the legal system that any party can claim and attempt to prove that their patents are being infringed, either.

Arming the rebels in countries we'd like to be on our side isn't new, we've done it dozens and dozens of times. It's not just so someone can profit, it's because we would very much like an ally in the Middle East that the others don't have a blood feud with.

If you followed modern events even somewhat closely, you would know that the supreme court ruled that human DNA may not be legally patented.

I can tell you've never been to Afghanistan.

If the military put as much money in the M14, as Russia did with the AK, there would be very few problems. The M14 did start out as a full-auto.

But they do anyways, especially if they see you as a threat. There's these things called "Lawyers", and they have plenty.

No shit. But in Syria, Al-Nusra controls the rebellion. Hence, we would be arming Al-Qaeda. And we can't afford that.

Israel, Jordan, Turkey, Georgia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Pakistan(on paper) are all our allies in the Middle East, how many more do we need? As long as there is an Iran, there will always be countries with "blood feud".

Passed or not, don't you think even the idea of patenting DNA is fucked? I think so.

http://techglam.com/how-tech-giant-apple-lost-to-a-cafe-owner/

Not only did they not sue, they lost their legal battle to a small cafe. More to the point, their argument made complete sense, as the cafe was using its logo on electronics, thereby unfairly restricting Apple from selling their products in Germany.

I'm well aware that the M14 is capable of automatic fire. I also attempted to keep the argument at a fairly basic level, as most of the time people trying to argue guns are only aware of them from CoD. The M4 is preferred for general combat because its rate of fire is faster on auto, and the recoil is more manageable, especially when firing automatic. Special ops still uses the M14 extensively, because, well, they tend to be better trained, and( and this is being over general ) tend to use semi-automatic over automatic. It wasn't just because some congressman was getting his house remodeled by the same people that owned Colt at the time. It's also worth noting it was the M16 selected over the M14, which was mostly due to production costs and ammo capacity. In Vietnam, it became a war of suppressive fire until you could effectively clear out the tunnels.

Hezbollah is on the other side, though. If we can get those two lovely organizations to hate each other instead of us and our interests, we've done a good job.

Yes, it is. That's why it's a good thing the supreme court banned it. Explicitly.

I would argue that the U.S. has more of an entrepreneurial mindset than China. The businesses that use China's workforce are still American-based. Do you honestly see Google, Microsoft, or Apple moving their main office to China? Tongue
