Then again, it's not an emulator. It bundles an application and/or modifies software code for it to be compatible for the specified OS.

It's more like a re-assembler.

I often use VisualBoy Advance. It has benefitted me when I was in love with Pokemon.

For NES Emulation I use Nestopia and for DS emulation I'm using DSemuMe (or whatever something like that)

Annoyingly, DSemune is laggy as hell, but also the only one that won't crash off the bat.

From experience, DesSmuMe wasn't that great. Too laggy and complicated for my tastes.

I use No$GBA and desmume for me to catch up on DS emulation since I don't own an actual DS yet. For mobility, I installed retroarch on my S3 but I only play GBA games there because DS on it is quite laggy for me.
