I approve of open carrying. I think people will be scared away before they commit a crime.

I was just saying that I personally believe that the chances of a crime being committed against you when your carrying an assault riffle are pretty low.

It will scare them, but like Johnny said I wouldn't rob someone with a weapon.

Really, if they're a law abiding citizen, they wouldn't shoot anyone - so open carrying is alright.
So if the robber knows they can't use the weapon, they would try to take as much advantage of that as possible, without the person actually shooting them.
