I have my iPhone 4S still on 5.1.1 without any problems
Jailbroken of course. But since jailbreaking became nearly impossible on the newer idevices I would go for android too, cause an iPhone without jailbreak is gay.

It was free at least, tapatalk was doing some sort of beta thing. Either way, Convo is the same thing and its free.
