I feel like this could exacerbate the rape problem. Some people probably rely on porn to relieve themselves.

In all honesty, banning things doesn't always seem to be the most effective way to do things. Human beings will always have desires, and there's little you can do to stop them, short of hormonal castration. Searching for another outlet is all that will happen next. What shape that outlet takes, could be worse.

In my word porn should be not only banned it should be completely stopped.its only effecting everyone mind nothing else. i can say mostly kid watch all this .porn should never exist but google will not stop it all about money making man. when i was around 12-14 year old i watched so much but now its completely stopped.

Wait what? I thought we're all about freedom here, even when it's dirty or inconvenient.

Banning wont work for any country. Unless done sensibly and through social awareness. If porn was the cause of rape then US and other western countries would have topped it. Public awareness is important. Rather we can use VPN to just bypass it. everybody knows it now.

So its not very effective measure IMO.

A small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.
Quite a diplomatic move...

Mostly the entertainment culture is to blame, no government or industry authority has any regulatory control if any on the matter of explicit content, because its good for business. A certain kind of content is encouraged.
Second, what policies have been introduced where women can safely report matters and be heard.
Third, its a very godless society, they have gods which are based on sexuality, they are in a sense encouraged of this sexual sense. Kant the philosopher on morals, tried to differentiate religious teachings on morals in the christian faith from our humanity, he said we can have good morals without religion but we know from many studies done by different authors, that this cannot be.
I've seen a few videos where people who are injured in an accident on the road in india, people just keep walking, no a care in the world to help. It amazes me what kind of society it is.

I can agree with the idea of pornography being bad. I can't agree with the idea of governments controlling the legality, though. There's a difference. It has nothing to do with morality and everything to do with freedom.

My main worry is that it is going to get some kids going through puberty into a lot of trouble. They cannot block all porn sites, so I can imagine that some 12 year old is going to find a site that requires "special" drivers to see the videos. Then have to explain to his parents why the computer has a million viruses. It happens enough in the US where sites like pornhub are freely available, and I can imagine how bad it will be in India. I agree that porn is an inherently bad thing that contributes to corruption in society, but at the same time banning it will cause tons of security issues. I also agree with your take on the fact that it is a freedom issue as well.
