Like many here I started out with Dragon Ball Z and Pokemon. I soon realised how many other animes were out there! I now love watching a lot of shounen like Kenichi, Hunter X Hunter, One Piece, Gurren Lagann, and My Hero Academia.

The first anime I ever watched was probably Pokemon (as a kid Pokemon was just a cartoon show, had no idea what anime was). The first conscious anime I ever watched was probably really early Dragonball Z (Ocean dub), or Inuyasha.

Mostly because late night anime on Cartoon Network as a kid. I liked Sesshomaru way more than Inuyasha.

He always struck me as really effeminate. Even thought he was a female at first, perhaps due to his build/face.

I don't recall there ever being proper anime on, beyond dragon ball z or naruto, which weren't my thing really. I feel like I missed out.
