RE: Apartment or house? - scargo - 04-05-2022 house is better, more space and privacy RE: Apartment or house? - daniel3112 - 05-16-2022 Hello, to be honest, I'm not a fan of cleaning myself because I work a lot and because of this I don't always have time for this and I call a cleaning company. I don't like that the smell lingers for days after a bad meal so I regularly call the cleaning company for air duct cleaning Manhattan. Here is their website by the way [Link Redacted] . So enjoy and have a nice day RE: Apartment or house? - Quitelargegenitalman - 05-16-2022 (03-21-2022, 09:58 AM)mothered Wrote:(03-04-2022, 09:08 PM)billyferg Wrote: Renting is just paying for someone else's investment^ This. But you would be paying a lot just in interest, especially now. You need to take into account interest, property tax, Insurance and general maintenence. Not to mention the overall increase in spending you are going to do filling the house with furniture and bullshit. In my locality, the Interest Is down to the bare minimum. Property tax for a home owner Is a one-off payment. As for maintenance, It's not significant. My point Is, In 30 years time you'll own the home/apartment, as opposed to having nothing to your name at 60 years old and still paying rent. You don't need renters insurance, especially if you don't own anything and here in Canada at least, property tax is annual. That's a few grand a year you piss away for nothing. With home prices in most urban areas these days you are going to be a wage slave for the next 50 years trying to pay off the mortgage. You'd be better off getting a cheap rental, split it with someone, invest all the saved money in Luna and then retire in Mexico in less than 30 years. With a house at a fraction of the cost while you enjoy all the sweet gains you will make on Luna. RE: Apartment or house? - robertreynolds - 05-17-2022 even though I have money, I prefer an apartment, it seems easier to maintain, especially to clean and more comfortable RE: Apartment or house? - mothered - 05-17-2022 (05-17-2022, 05:02 AM)Quitelargegenitalman Wrote: You don't need renters insurance, especially if you don't own anything and here in Canada at least, property tax is annual. I've never paid a single dime In rent, played It smart by purchasing my home In my teens, and now living like a king - no debts and can purchase a 5k laptop without noticing a dent In my finances. What motivates you to continue? I know a lot of people do it for a rush.
