Personally, I always Install an OS on my VM and navigate around for a week or so - just to see It's overall functionality, and whether It's suited to my usability and liking.

new habit I am making , checking things out

If all goes well, I'll use It on my physical PC.

I've actually added a classic start menu to the far left of the screen.

It looks very appealing.

For your reference, I've used Open Shell for the classic start menu.

It states that It's only supported up to Windows 10, but It's definitely compatible with Windows 11.

You've got to laugh at the developers.

It's not the worst Windows but no great improvements over Windows 10. There are some big cons (such as not being able to snap the taskbar to the sides or top of the screen, or right clicking menu only brings up Windows essentials which is not ideal when you have other programs running) so just extra steps compared to Windows 10. I plan to use 10 until its no longer supported (October 14, 2025).
