I'm glad I did because almost everybody who paid the $20 for "ub3r" was acting like first class jackasses. Gosh I hear so many bad things about some of the previous forums people have been on. RE: How did you guys find Sinister? - NotSURE - 11-25-2019 A google search for coupons and then climbed into a search hole and ended up here. RE: How did you guys find Sinister? - dezires - 12-05-2019 Stumbled across this site today, a post talking about ewhoring (which is something ive done in the past, but never knew what to call it) so here i am trying to get up and running again lol RE: How did you guys find Sinister? - Kludge - 12-08-2019 I Google Dorked for 2 weeks with different keywords and commands, scrolling through endless Google pages until I found the thread, 'Adventures with Nextbook'. It's still in the Mobile sub on the second page about halfway down. I signed up with an account I can't remember the name of so that I could take part in removing the point-of-sale activation PIN from allegedly misappropriated pieces of merchandise. There were two users who'd found the unencrypted text file in the Android system file that held a perfectly easy to use, unsalted, correct-length, set of numbers and letters. It looked like gibberish at first glance, but we all took a few more than 5 second looks at the block of gibberish and realized the nonsense contained 32 repeating strings of letters and numbers. 32 with no indication of a unique key? SHA256! Decrypted those 32 characters and we had a working crack for the Gen 1 Intel CPU EFun Nextbook tablet. I kinda just kept coming back for the thread because at this point Nextbooks were as common as gutter punks wearing converse with holes on 100% of the surface! I kept cracking Digital Safety's Point of Sale Activation without a PIN with every single update they tried. I even attempted to go grey hat and inform them, other than 3 people unraveling the first key, I knew what was wrong with and how to fix every single PoSA update they released. Every 3-6 months, I'd grab another tablet with the newest fix, and break into it in under five minutes. The last of DiSa's PoSA updates took me 30 seconds to crack after getting it plugged into the ADB. I informed every single person I could find at Digital Safety their product was weaker than weak, I could fix it, and they should hire me. ... Instead they made fun of the spoof email I was using. I released the crack for EVERY SINGLE UPDATE until... A few months later, Digital Safety's PoSA was removed from Nextbooks nationwide. 3-4 weeks ago I picked up a Nextbook, and the register printed out the activation PIN of '1'. WalMart dropped them. Target and Bestbuy never let them roll out. So, basically SL helped me make a shady software manufacturer, owned by a shady Chinese company, owned by ANOTHER shady Chinese company, finally owned by one of the sketchiest-moral-having international holding corporations on the entire planet. And then I stopped caring because I've seen movies. Thanks, @Oni for making this place that had a crowdsourcing going on regarding PRECISELY what was required!
