I tested Star Citizen years ago, but haven't touched it since. It didn't seem very polished at the time. Not sure if much has been added/improved, but I might give it another look. Yeah this game is definitely very controversial haha.
Although I did play a bit during a free-to-play week recently and I was really surprised. Plus I watched few streams and it looks like it's exponentially more awesome with friends !
There are still lots of small bugs, and few important features missing, but that's now totally playable I think. They're slowly really getting there (I doubt their marketing strategy is mixing well with development efficiency), but it has imho a really huge potential !

I bought a ship package >5 years ago, and it's still in Alpha. It feels like other games could easily overtake them, with how slow their development cycle is going. Looking through the newsletters I've gotten it's apparent they're releasing content, but it's not enough for me to think a finished product is coming any time soon.

It's in some ways always gonna be an alpha (even if they officially say it's a final release at some point), but that's their goal, having a game / a life-simulation constantly evolving. They'd just need to finally have some really solid bases though..

I personally doubt that for the near future. Seeing how complex the game is, it would take many years for another game studio to try to do something similar, and might just give us another Cyberpunk-like game haha.

But again, I don't know what would be a finished product. I personally would prefer a more stable game than more content; content is already pretty good (they're releasing more to make bakers happy, they got used to the glitches I guess haha), and it's slowing down development for important stuff (a complete rework of server code would certainly be necessary for example).

I've been playing a TON of Call of Duty: Cold War. I haven't really enjoyed the COD series since Infinite Warfare(I was Top 300 in the world on PS4 during it's life cycle) and I stopped playing for a while, but I have recently come back and it's like I never left.

Played Modern Warfare a bunch, but since Multiplayer is still going strong I haven't thought about getting Cold War. Maybe it's the difference between SCARs and FALs.

I started playing The Last of Us again. I thought it would be logical to replay the first part before I started playing the second. It's still the best game I've ever played. If I just want to relax, I play freecell and settle down. Because most popular games these days are more stressful than work, but you get a lot more enjoyment out of playing them. It's one of those things that never ceases to amaze me, and I'm sure others think so. It's great that there are different genres of games and you can choose what suits you best.
