RE: Favorite Operating System - BunnyJ - 12-21-2014 Using 8.1 as my primary, testing 10TP(9879) and liking it so far, Favorite: When Win10 comes out that might just become my favorite but 8.1 still is very good, IMO. It is still a very good OS for work and home use RE: Favorite Operating System - dopamine - 12-21-2014 https://www.reactos.org/ This will be my favorite when it goes out of Alpha. Quote:ReactOS® is a free open source operating system based on the best design principles found in the Windows NT® architecture (Windows versions such as Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2012 are built on Windows NT architecture). Written completely from scratch, ReactOS is not a Linux based system, and shares none of the UNIX architecture. RE: Favorite Operating System - JzJad - 12-22-2014 Primary at the moment is windows 8.1 (I fucked up) Favorite would have to be Elementary OS RE: Favorite Operating System - Kizaru - 12-22-2014 (12-21-2014, 02:04 PM)dopamine Wrote: Not everyone upgrades their hardware every time Intel releases a new CPU. That's not the main issue about running a OS with no support, you should know what without asking me. What if his hardware is not powerful enough to run Vista or 7? His only choice then is to use XP or install GNU/Linux. If he can't move to GNU/Linux then he is stuck with a unsupported operating system. Microshit didn't think this through. Fuck them for stopping XP support, its the only decent OS they've made. What can he do if his machine can't run Vista and he simply doesn't want to use GNU/Linux?
