32GB isn't "too" expensive atm (unless you're buying a laptop). But as you say, 16GB will more than see you through some solid games/programs. At least the prices on RAM aren't being hiked up like GPUs (thanks crypto xD).

yes, i like to buy computer parts for this very delicate purpose, to play with them like lego, and make them add up to different
special numbers just to not have the same as everyone else.

Whatever the configuration may be, the Ram will certainly accommodate every task you execute.

My laptop Is currently running 2 x 16 GB sticks, and 32 GB serves me very well Indeed:

That's with a couple of VMs running In the background, as well as 50+ browser tabs open. There's 2 slots spare, so I'll soon Install another 2 x 16GB sticks to a total of 64 GB.
