I would say, absolutely yes, even with the hell I went through with my ex of 25 years. I don't want to be alone, but I sure would not mind not having to worry about the other half. The trick is to find someone who likes/loves you for you, for who you are. And vice versa. It's always going to take work, but can be easy and less stressful.
I don't like liars and drama bullshit. Liars aren't good. I'm not perfect and I want someone who cares and wants the best for me, not someone who wants to dictate what I am and what I do. And I have to be the same back.
It comes down to this, I don't want to be alone. I do want some space some times, I think a lot of people do. I like taking care of someone and them me. There's lots of things couples can do together, you just can't do alone. I need a sidekick, my dog doesn't cut it. I need someone who will care if I'm down, who will lift me . I will do the same.
I may have failed with the last ex, but that was 25years (20+years of marriage) but it's not a failure, I learned a lot, and it's making me better, it sucked ,but life sucks sometimes. The last ex may hate me, but she comes when in need. I'm still friends with my very first GF.
People matter to me. My current GF is my best friend, she's a pain in the ass sometimes, and I'm sure I am too. It's nice not going to bed alone or waking up that way. We both have love and freedom, she needs someone to take care of her, and I need a bit in return. Life is by far better with her than without. I'm definitely happier. And that's a good thing.

Honest at the moment no, I have little desire other to be in a relationship. I do enjoy sex, but I believe I’m too busy for a relationship and I wouldn’t be emotionally available.
