It would be wise to mention this in future posts when and if you suggest Backtrack/Kali or any other distro that requires login as root to use in its full potential.

Many people aren't aware of the security issues while using this kind of distros.

And that is why...people need to do the research and not rely on people baby sitting them Smile I personally think it should be a little common sense. Plus, I have also seen that statement numerous times around the forum. A little use of the search button can do wonders, haha. I do that same thing Smile Mine is the kde version though...eyecandy. Gets me wet everytime lol Biggrin

But that's not an excuse to not just follow your sentence with "might be dangerous for everyday use" or something along those lines.

Then the user can decide what to do with those five words.

In which case I stand corrected, you'd be surprised at how many people don't do this though. As the rest have said it's always worth mentioning for that reason.

Well..Yeah somehow I have noticed how people don't have knowledge about this..even Wine it's highly recommended not to run it under root priviledges. That's the problem about people, they don't know or simply they don't want to make some research before they go or switch over a new OS or distro.

I have Kali installed on a small netbook for 'hacking'. My daily driver though for the last 3 years after checking loads of distro's is Mint 13 KDE. I love the philosophy of the Mint project and everything generally just works with very little issue. I was DE hopping a while back and had never tried KDE before, and now I have, I'll be using it for the foreable future I think. I use Cinnamon at my work though, but I love ALL Linux's, though I am less interested in the red-hat based derivatives, I prefer Debian based Distro's.

Smile

Best is a matter of opinion, what's best for you might not be the best choice for someone else.
