Then you can run several at the same time. Those things can fry your CPU.I'm also running 32 GB of Ram and In my computing environment, It significantly helps run simultaneous VMs without loss of stability/performance. yeah, exactly the point i was thinking about.

I haven't filled all of it up yet, but I think I've gotten above 16GB though. Now that you've mentioned It, It triggered my memory and I recall your posts. Installing 32GB Is the best move you've made. Even though you may not utilize It to Its full potential at the moment, you must allow for future expansion- applications and tasks are becoming more memory demanding as each year passes. That is something I never thought about. The RAM I have right now, as long as it's still functioning, could be used in a future build. And we all know that programs are becoming more and more bloated as time goes on. Thats a pretty good idea. I have several parts that are quite valuable, that would probably be strong in coming PC build, even if not my entire computer parts would be as good, if I wear to move them to a new PC build. What I meant more, was that when this thread was created DDR4 was newer and not as common. Now you're seeing more people with 64-128GB of RAM, whereas the previous de facto was 16-32GB. I know, but I still feel like 64GB+ is a lot. I think the tech and affordability of the tech changes faster than I expect it to. What was top of the range a mere few years ago, can become outdated pretty quickly. Although, as I know you've experienced - some stuff lasts years.
