I never saw any reason to move beyond whatever basic text editor I had on hand: PHP. Notepad, Abiword, in browser editors. Text all enters the same way.

Am trying out netbeans while I'm learning HTML and css, loving the code correction functions. Usually use geany and notepad ++ but I'm getting lazy and can't be bothered with tracking down errors manually any more XD hopefully I should be able to edit my existing php using netbeans too

Never worked for me before either, it was a surprise how well my new stuff just worked on it this time around. Have tried it out on several projects over the last 10 years or so. I think its matured into php storm equivilant for html. Or I'm just using it for the right purpose lol

I am enjoying PHPStorm, it's working well for Laravel and CodeIgniter enviroments. Far better than Dreamweaver it seems.
