Personally, I'm more of a cat person. I have this sweet Ragdoll named Whiskers who just brightens up my day with her playful antics and soothing purrs.

Dogs all the way if I have a big home but for tinier apartments I've been in I've always preferred cats.

Dogs were designed (literally) to be companion to people, both past and present. Cats are simply a novelty (don't burn me for this take I'm not a cat person)

Why not both? They're both great for different reasons. Cats are fun to watch, and dogs are faithful companions.
