RE: What do you do to help you sleep? - ConcernedCitizen - 01-02-2022 Couple things help me: for starters I don't use my phone or tablet or desktop one hour before bed. I limit my screen usage at around then so my eyes don't strain and I don't have them burning while I try to sleep. Next, I use a fan, usually on low for the quiet but relaxing hum. Then I try to close my eyes and relax when it's time for bed. I also have a dog with anxiety so this last part is especially difficult sometimes. I usually get him to go to bed before I start my sleep routine. RE: What do you do to help you sleep? - convector - 01-02-2022 As Squidward says to Spongebob. "Empty your mind"

RE: What do you do to help you sleep? - Bricker - 01-02-2022 For years, I used to get really bad restless legs if I couldnt fall asleep soon after laying down and would end up being awake for hours. So I went to see a sleep doctor and they gave me a CPAP even though my apnea was pretty minimal. Took a while to get used to, but once I did I was out like a light within 10 minutes every time. Dunno if it was the soft hum of the machine or breathing easier, but it worked. I haven't used it in several months and I'm still able to fall asleep quickly. Not sure there's a moral to that story, just wanted to mention how strange it was that a CPAP machine helped even though I didn't have apnea RE: What do you do to help you sleep? - Shrek69 - 01-03-2022 There is ASMR on youtube , it helped alot of people go sleep, find your best ASMR video and go sleep Wink RE: What do you do to help you sleep? - mothered - 01-03-2022 (01-03-2022, 12:09 AM)Shrek69 Wrote: There is ASMR on youtube , it helped alot of people go sleep, find your best ASMR video and go sleep WinkIt's very peaceful and relaxing. I actually listen to It occasionally when taking breaks from my computational tasks, and It effectively rejuvenates the mind. Ive been having problems sleeping since I was in high school at the age of 16. Im 21 now and its starting to get just as bad.\ Honestly I don't go to sleep until 3-4 am. So usually I read EFF and Hacker News Articles. I also take the free time to scrub everything I have online to make sure no leaks occur. I've tried going to bed earlier (around 2am), and found myself staring at the ceiling for the next hour or two. |
