RE: Where do i start hacking(xd) - Whoami1 - 08-04-2018 Try learning a programming language and after that learn about network stuff, learn how to use operating systems like linux and how security system works. I think this is only the basics (Sorry for my bad english) RE: Where do i start hacking(xd) - FurySenpai - 08-05-2018 (08-04-2018, 11:50 PM)Whoami1 Wrote: Try learning a programming language and after that learn about network stuff, learn how to use operating systems like linux and how security system works. I think this is only the basics (Sorry for my bad english) No Kali Linux and Linux are not the same things. First learn hacking in a windows environment. Start out small. Try hacking wi-fi around you. Doxxing counts as hacking. Try to figure out someone's real life identity from their steam or skype account. I think this is only the basics (Sorry for my bad english) Well i need to learn something first before hacking a ''wifi'' since i'm new to this B1G world i don't know what to learn. For doxing i'm pretty good at it , i already know the basic and i feel pretty confident with it so no worries about doxxing. RE: Where do i start hacking(xd) - FurySenpai - 08-05-2018 Any ebook to start with the ''BASIC'' or youtube channel recommendation ? , any help would be very very very useful. Tinkernut, Computerphile, and Code Xual are pretty good and I recommend them. RE: Where do i start hacking(xd) - mothered - 08-05-2018 Hacking Is a very broad term, that Involves a lot of different attack and exploitation vectors. It's Important to Identify one that you're comfortable with, and stick to It prior to moving onto another. RE: Where do i start hacking(xd) - reGEN - 08-05-2018 Where you start with hacking depends on what you want to do. If all you want to do is some basic, surface-level "hacking" and go full out script kiddie then stop reading here. If your reason to hack is something petty or insignificant then stop reading now because you will not make it. If all you want to DDoS or social engineer then stop reading because none of the following information will be useful to you. I will spare you the time and effort as it is very doubtful that you will end up becoming or doing anything significant. You might see or hear very often that you should do X and Y and Z but as someone who has been self-taught for a few years, the true foundations is not the physical content that you learn. Rather, it is the psychological component that truly enables a hacker. The first step to hacking is to realize that if you ask this question then you should start learning to know where to start. Becoming entirely self-sufficient is probably the highest priorities if you want to making it in hacking purely because of the demanding and unforgivable nature of it. If you think that this is the only start you will have, think again because once you dig deeper, you'll have to figure things out on your own especially when you become more advanced or when you start in a new field. Of course the ability to find resources does not come in a day, you will have to build that up along the way. By the way, YouTube is not really a good resource for hacking. It's a very, very, very niche thing for people to create video tutorials because of the time and effort required. A large majority of your resources will end up being in written form. So don't rely on it. If you must, then LiveOverflow is probably the only one I can highly recommend to beginners. The next thing you should focus on is evolving your mindset if you have not already. You need to have a drive to discover more or become more curious or skeptical of things. On top of that, becoming resilient to failure and accepting that not everything will go successfully is the only path to learning. If you do not fail then you're not trying hard enough or you're not learning anything valuable. Acknowledge that you will fail everywhere but never let it discourage you. If you gained something from the journey then it wasn't a true "failure". Remember, the master has failed more times than the student has even tried. The first thing I recommend is for you to pick up a programming language and learn to program. This is such a fundamental skill that every (computer) hacker must know. Not because you should code your own tools instead of using other people's because you will end up using other people's tools because realistically, they are more convenient and most probably designed much better than what you can do. Programming teaches you the ability to problem solve and that is a core skill for a hacker. On top of that, it is also an enabler because you can develop your own tools if none exist for your purposes, it allows you to transform your ideas into the physical world. Learn to program properly and not for the sake of hacking. I'd probably recommend Python since it's so widely-used and beginner-friendly. So, what content do you actually need to learn? Well that depends on what you want to hack. If you don't know what you want to hack then you should learn a little bit of everything until you find something that really interests you. You should actually learn the basics of computer science before you learn to hack because that's how hacking works. You learn how something works and then abuse intended or unintended functionality. If you want to beat a game, you must first learn the rules. A note about automated tools and Kali Linux. Stay away from them until you know what you're doing. In fact, if you have Kali Linux right now, uninstall it because you do not need it nor will you be able to use it even remotely effectively. You are better off building your own proper distro and then installing the tools you need as you learn. A note about Linux and hacking. Do you need Linux to be a hacker? You should become familiar with Linux but ultimately, it depends on what you do. Despite using Linux, all my hacking is performed on Windows machines as I do Windows application reverse engineering and malware analysis. My reliance on Linux is bare minimum if not zero. I'd still recommend you learn Linux though. |
