Thread Design Template - Theós - 08-11-2016

Decided to make a simple thread design that can be suitable for almost anything.

The PSD is organized, easy to use, and highly customizable. It includes an adjustable hue slider to change the entire template's color with ease.

This is SBB exclusive, please do not share anywhere else.

You can not sell this template, or upload a modified PSD anywhere else.
Have fun!

Looks absolutely incredible. You should add some copyright in the bottom so people know you're the creator.

RE: Thread Design Template - yokai - 08-11-2016

It's an improvement over your other work,  but I wouldn't go as far as @2 and call it "absolutely incredible". The font used in the header looks a bit awkward, some letters (such as R,S etc) looks to be "smashed" for the lack of a better word. I also fail to see a faint drop-shadow from the text, which removes the readability against darker screens, and if someone wishes to use a image for the header. (Hey, that is a good idea, image for the header.) I'm also not a fan of the "let's center every damned thing" approach to design. It makes them feel less organic and more.... Lazy and boring.

The font for each "point" seems to either be different or thinner than the rest, which is strange. (It looks more like a box text than a header text to be honest.) The check-marks are rather bad, they look overly cartoon'y for a otherwise futuristic approach to design. The bottom list of "credits and such" could need some work too. The use of boxes or such would suit it better, and avoid it looking so empty towards the right side. (It's rather left-heavy.) On a side note, ant this is completely subjective. I have no fan of the background of each header text.

Thanks for the suggestions, but unfortunately I'm not going to change anything. I made this template in literally under 15 minutes. With 5 minutes spent organizing. Yes it is boring. Yes it is rough. I made it just to help people out, I didn't really pay attention to font choice and what not because I thought it would be best for the person who edits it to adjust the design to their liking. Im giving folks a foundation to work on not a full blown masterpiece xD

I usually design a thread design in 10-20 minutes. The amount of time is no excuse for the lack of quality.

Everyone's pace is different, I need time to design for better results. The thread design I made is unpolished, and is more of a draft.

If two people were to have the same experience and skill level of making a shoe and it took 2 hours to make a perfect shoe, who's shoe would come out better? Person A, who spent 10 minutes or Person B who spent 3 hours?

What? That question makes no sense. If two people, with the exact same amount of experience and skill level is making a shoe, and it took them 2 hours to make the prefect shoe, who's shoe would become better? Person A who use 10 min or Person B who spent 3 hours? Though you just said it took them 2 hours to make it. For the sake of the argument, the question would be better off as;

If two people were making a shoe, each with different set of skills and experience, the more skilled used 1 hour and the less skilled used 3, who made the better?

In both examples however, the answer is the same. It depends. The more skilled person would have the better outcome, but the one that put the most taught behind it could surpass pure skill. Though what I said earlier, blaming the amount of time used on something isn't a valid excuse for the lack of quality. Lack of quality comes from lack of passion and/or skill in a subject. If it is passion, then you are just being lazy or don't even want to do it. If it is skill then you can practice it. Saying; "Well I only used a few min, lol" is being lazy and trying to blame it on anything else than yourself.

So if time wasn't the problem, it's me? Oh. What if I said, if I spend 1 more hour and the thread design came out better, would the time spent not matter as the catalyst for the quality. Passion doesn't magically make things better, you need time as well, which is something I do not have atm. Crovus, you sexy little slut, kiss me.

Why are you always so negative towards everything you lay eyes on?
