On topic, we tend to complain about the most trivial things, and looking at this, we should appreciate how lucky we are not to be In that scenario. Some of us might've been in a similiar scenario in the past. Perhaps lost a parent in a gruesome way, a sibling or were dragged into an accident(s). Such events often cause depravity for all I know. Coming from a part of the world where huge scale natural disasters aren't common, I underestimated this hurricane. I find it absolutely crazy that people aren't evacuating. Part of me also wants to ask, why the fuck do they live there? Since this was once a topic I learned about in school, I've known the answer for a long time. Yet, I think a false sense of security may have a lot to do with it. I know I could never bring myself to live near the San Andreas Fault etc... |
